I have just published a new episode on my Walking Thru’ Fire podcast, the opening of my short story “How Does It Start?”
The story is perhaps a little unusual in that ‘the action’ doesn’t really start until the second section i.e. immediately following on from what I have read. This first element is part scene-setting and part philosophy. It is also – I believe – one of the most ‘poetic’ pieces of prose I have ever written. Indeed, it wouldn’t take too much effort to turn it into something that might pass as ‘a poem’.
“How Does It Start?” first appeared in print in my 2017 collection “Secrets & Wisdom”. I am currently revising the collection and a new edition will be available in November 2022.
