The only reason I ask the question is that I’ve been struggling with an unfinished story in my draft “Secrets and Wisdom” collection. And that struggle has seen nothing much added for a while – and created a roadblock for the whole thing.
And now I think I recognise that I don’t actually care about the character in this latest confection – a bit like the Strawberry Creme in a box of ‘Quality Street’.
So why try and complete that one? Why not ‘re-engineer’ it? Why worry about something to which one is not attached? The lack of emotional commitment generates ‘the block’.
If I don’t care about ‘Anthony’, then why should anyone else?!
