Steady as we go! Nothing remarkable yesterday as my thoughts turn towards my Crash performance on Saturday. There are some last-minute discussions around practicalities, but other than that I think I’m ready to go.
That preparedness is one of the reasons Crash didn’t feature yesterday: a, over-rehearsing isn’t needed, and b, I want to protect my voice.
So yesterday saw more final editing on 17 Alma Road, the recording of a new podcast episode (the opening of my ‘old’ novel An Infinity of Mirrors), and some admin around New Contexts: 5 and this month’s Contextual reading. There was also the North Yorkshire Stanza meeting in the evening at which I read my very short poem “Jackdaws”. It went down well, and I have high hopes for this one; it’s entered in a couple of competitions…
I think I’ll start today with Crash (read today, Thursday, and then first thing Saturday possibly). This will be followed by a Society of Authors event about how to run a book launch. After lunch I have ‘Write-on Ripon’ where the theme is ‘Parting’ – and I have just the thing. I’m hoping to get to Alma Road at some point too, but we’ll see.

Thank you for your kind words.
I clicked on your link, and then went to ‘Exploring Life’ – but then couldn’t find a way to get back to the post you’d shared in your comment. Also, the ‘Blog’ link in the header leads to an empty page…
I’m guessing that you are new to this and finding you way around WordPress. I would suggest that you get your navigation working the way you want it – and perhaps think about the ‘theme’ of your blog. Most blog sites seems to have an identity (mine’s all about my writing, obviously), so I would suggest you need to settle on yours: how would you sell it to someone new in a single sentence?
My current blog has been built over a number of years of trial and error, so be ready for that!
Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for giving original feedback. Will definitely connect if we are stuck somewhere. Just wanted to know if you could read blogs?

Yes. You have to record them using something like Adobe Audition, then load the file into your WordPress Media section and provide links to that audio file in the blog post.
