There was only one area of focus yesterday: the editing of 17 Alma Road.
I have been introduced to QueryTracker thanks to various Twitter interactions, and I intend to give it a go when putting Alma Road out to agents. Whilst I’m not necessarily expecting different results, I will be interested to see what the experience feels like, whether the process is made any easier etc.
Apart from that it was a bits-and-pieces kind of day – but not an unproductive one.
Today will start with my final run-through of Crash before Saturday. Oddly, the pressure feels off now, even though the event is just two days away.
I will also be back into Alma Road; and at some point I need to do a follow-up push after my book launch a couple of weeks ago.
This afternoon I’m attending another Society of Authors’ event: ‘Tea with Val McDermid’. Although I don’t read or write crime, I am always interested in process, and I’m not too proud to steal good ideas from anyone!
PS: I think the Shakespeare binge watch is now over… (although I do have a copy of Ken Brannagh’s Henry V…)
