Yesterday & Today: 13th June

Something else ticked off yesterday: the third draft of 17 Alma Road. Now begins the process of selecting the first tranche of agents to whom it will be sent. I’m going to be using QueryTracker for the first time, and will select the first round of agents from those who use the software, are UK-based, and who are looking for ‘literary fiction’.

As expected, that was the major activity yesterday.

I have a three-pronged effort today however: Library stint in the morning (probably agent-hunting, if no-one needs to see me); ‘Write-on Ripon’ in the afternoon; and my Stanza Group in the evening.

Such Tuesdays are always ‘full-on’. It’s nice to have them once a month, the packed schedule, the shift from one environment and group of people to another… They tend not to be productive days in the sense of words on the page, can be full of inspiration – which may be even more valuable.
