Yesterday & Today: 1st July

It’s hard to believe that yesterday saw the end of the first half of 2023 and my 182nd diary post. I don’t know about you, but when I get to July I always wonder where March, April and May went…

But at least it was a day where I managed to do a little work on ‘Z’.

Interestingly, my daily workload for June averaged out at 2.77 hours – considerably down on the 3.55 hours for May.

But then that was always going to happen with house-move activity beginning to kick-in, and the conclusion of so many projects, culminating in the performance of Crash earlier this month.

The priority today is to pre-process all the outstanding submissions for New Contexts: 5 in readiness for shortlisting. Thanks to a last minute surge, the total number of submitted pieces is approaching 200. This means a) that I’ll have my work cut-out to whittle them down, and b) that I should be able to pull together a decent volume; the previous four issues of New Contexts have set the bar pretty high!
