Yesterday & Today: 3rd July

A very quiet day yesterday with virtually no work other than a little ‘Z’ drafting. And I’m afraid the reason is a little feeble…

There was sport on the TV.

Ever since I was a kid I’ve devoured most sports when they’re on TV – especially live sport. Yesterday it was the Irish Derby (I’ve a weakness for the horses); and is it my fault that the Tour de France started on Saturday?!

I’ve already decided that in my new study there will be no TV (there is here). I realise that I’ll still be able to watch most things via my computer, but that may require me to accept higher levels of guilt – hopefully high enough to stop me watching.

Occasionally.

New Contexts: 5 selection will definitely start today. It may be the first thing I do each day, perhaps 30 minutes just to get me rolling, and then another couple of short bursts during the day. [Repeat tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day…] I’ve North Yorkshire Stanza to look forward to this evening, and between now and then I’m sure I’ll do a little more work on ‘Z’; yesterday I began the introduction of one of the more unsavoury characters…
