Yesterday & Today: 10th July

A slightly odd day yesterday in that I didn’t get to do any of the one time-critical thing on my plate; namely, NC:5 submission reviewing.

Time-wise, that was replaced by putting together some competition entries, and a little planning of what I need to do after the summer, mainly in the context of Coverstory books.

For the former it is – as ever – a question of travelling more in hope than expectation…

…and as far as the latter is concerned, I’m coming round to the view that I need to be making more of the Collaborative Publishing service I can offer other writers. On that basis, thinking about some new PR on the website and Twitter would seem to be the order of the day (though when I’ll do this I’m not sure).

For today, the target of getting through ‘R’ and ‘S’ submissions for NC:5 target again seems reasonable.

I should have mentioned that I did some work on ‘Z’ yesterday too, and more of the same remains a constant at the moment.

Getting to this point in drafting this post almost concludes my early-morning routine: check Ingram Spark sales, draft and publish the daily post, then provide the link to it on Twitter. Tick, tick, tick. The structure’s great, but after that? A routine can tread the fine line between constructive support and monotony can’t it? Some days it liberates us, and others it ties us down. Or maybe it does both simultaneously, and always…
