Yesterday & Today: 20th July

Thanks to another solid session re-reading New Contexts: 5 submissions yesterday I should have my final shortlist for the anthology by the end of today.

The next step after that is to pull together a rough draft of the volume to see how it looks, check it for balance etc. – at that point I’ll contact authors for final approval to publish.

It looks like there will be c. 80 pieces included in the book which should mean that it will end up a similar size to the previous editions – which is good.

Nothing much else yesterday; no ‘Z’ for example. But I did finished my second binge watch of the BBC iPlayer documentary series Can’t Get You Out Of My Head. It has given me some very rough ideas for a new piece of work which would be more experimental in nature. I just need to see if the seeds germinate over the next few weeks.

I’m not expecting anything remarkable today other than the NC:5 reading and (maybe) a little ‘Z’ drafting.
