Yesterday & Today: 28th July

Yesterday was probably my most barren day of the entire year. Apart from plugging some author bio’s into New Contexts: 5 and a little more navel-gazing about future projects, there was nothing of note. I’m sure this is in part down to the stress of wanting our house move finalised – which doesn’t bode well for today as it’s ‘deadline day’ for getting contracts exchanged. If the solicitors fail to get their act together in the next nine hours or so we might lose a month…

So rather than write, I binge watched bits of movies: the last hour of Ice Station Zebra, the last half hour of Sinbad: Eye of the Tiger, the last twenty minutes of It Came from beneath the Sea, the first thirty minutes of Earth versus the Flying Saucers… And even though clearly fragmentary, it was a strangely rewarding experience!

I’m making no predictions about today. Given my recent track record, that seems to make the most sense doesn’t it?
