Time to look back / forward. How did I get on last week?
- Meetings and Events –
- a meeting with the Hammond House organisation, hopefully to arrange a performance of Crash early in the new year – YES (though nothing fixed as yet)
- hosting Contextual: 20 poetry reading event on Thursday (via Zoom) – YES
- Writing projects –
- continue drafting the short story started last week (working title “Simmo”) – YES
- continue drafting the new poetic monologue (working title “Bound”) – YES
- recording seven more sonnets for ‘Sonnet Man’ – YES
- trying to work on some new poems – not really
- Coverstory books –
- opening submissions for New Contexts: 6 and publicising accordingly – ongoing
- processing entires as they come in for the short story anthology submission call – on going
- Sundries –
- drafting a Coverstory books newsletter for distribution w/c 2nd Oct – YES
- Extra –
- registered as an Associate Reader at Lincoln University library which allows me to use the library as a writing space whenever I like – YES
A decent week, though not enough writing for my liking…

So, in terms of writing-related events and writing itself, what does the next week hold?
- Meetings and Events –
- attend North Yorkshire Stanza;
- attend SoA workshop on ‘Twitter for Writers’.
- Writing projects –
- start drafting a new short story;
- continue drafting the new poetic monologue (working title “Bound”);
- recording seven more sonnets for ‘Sonnet Man’;
- trying to work on some new poems.
- Coverstory books –
- processing submissions as they come in for the Short Story collection and New Contexts: 6.
- Sundries –
- meeting the reporter for ‘The Rasen Mail’.
