Without doubt yesterday‘s highlight was the Contextual: 15 virtual poetry reading I hosted in the evening. Not only did we have our highest ever attendance which peaked at 28, we were treated to some superb poetry from Kerry Darbishire, Tom Larner, Kate Miller, Gillie Robic, and David Thompson.
My profound thanks to our readers and all those who attended the hour-long session. Brilliant!
Outside of Contextual, the day felt a little ‘bitty’. The most work went on my fiction project “C” where – to my surprise – I found myself starting to draft what could turn out to be the final chapter! If that’s the case, I have the beginning and end and now just need to find the 80k words to fill the sandwich!
Some of which may get done today, but it will be another one where life owns all the morning – and a slice of the afternoon too! On that basis, I’m not expecting any fireworks. (Given tomorrow’s Saturday, I may be in for a quiet couple of days.)
