Yesterday & Today: 17th April

By the time I get to the end of a writers’ retreat at which I’m mentoring I’m usually pretty exhausted mentally. No surprise then that creatively yesterday was at a minimum. At the request of the Ripon Theatre Festival organiser I pulled together a few paragraphs about me and my inspiration for Crash which I subsquently edited a little for publication on his website.

And that was about it.

Today will be different of course! I plan to start my day with a full read-through of Crash. After that I’ll need get back into “C” (the next rehearsal with Andy is a week today). There are also one or two ideas that popped up while I was away that I might give a little time to, just to see if they have any merit for the future.

I may also review the workshop material from the retreat to see if I need to make any tweaks to it. And it’s about time I gave some serious consideration to getting the ball rolling on the 5th New Contexts anthology…
