Two main things worked on yesterday: the first was a fair chunk of time spent sorting the initial plot points for ‘Z’ into some kind of logical sequence. There will follow further rounds of validation – and adding in the obvious ones that are missing – particularly at the end. Yesterday’s main focus was on where I needed ‘linking’ episodes.
Second was the resumption of the edit of 17 Alma Road. Obviously an ongoing process, this one…
In the afternoon I had ‘Write-on Ripon’ where we read to an open theme. As always, a mix of poetry, fiction and non-fiction, and some really interesting discussion about the role of metaphor and how we portray recollection and memoir – so much so that the latter is going to be next week’s theme.
I have a completely open day today (apart from some ‘house stuff’), so at some point you are likely to find me worrying at ‘Z’s plot point list and the edit of 17 Alma Road…
