If yesterday was a relatively quiet and unexceptional day then that was entirely expected – not that editing, planning upcoming work and projects, and various writing-related ‘odds and sods’ should be decried. If not exactly as substantial as ‘writing bricks’, the mortar that joins them together to form a wall is of equal importance.
One thing further reviewing of Irregular Sky did was to confirm again – to me at least – that my stories are of a decent standard. Always worthwhile that, especially in terms of self-esteem…!
And today? Well, we’ve visitors later on – and it being Saturday means I sacrifice some of my time to sport. There’s still a part of me that’s a kid at heart!
Which all adds up to modest ambitions for the day: reviewing a short story or two; possibly starting the drafting of the missing section/chapter in Tilt; thinking about readers for Contextual: 15; other bits’n’bobs…
One thing I did do yesterday was to draft a one-page ‘writing CV’. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll use it for, but I felt the need to get something down on paper. Just wanted to see what it looked like, I suppose.
