Yesterday & Today: 19th March

Sometimes I can be really lazy. Just occasionally mind. And although I know it’s good to recharge from time to time, when this happens I really don’t like myself very much. In my workshop about ‘Planning’ I try to emphasise that you can’t get back time lost: a day wasted is a day wasted… And hence that we should strive to make the most of the productive time we have.

Failure to do so in a way sums up yesterday.

However, not all the day was available to be productive; there were some mitigating factors – driving back from the retreat, the need to do some remedial decorating in the bathroom. But that didn’t mean I couldn’t have put in a little more effort. Certainly more than I did.

Will I do better today? Well I hope so! Yes, there are going to be other factors in play – it’s Mothers’ Day here, and there may be more decorating on the horizon – but I need to start out in a more productive frame of mind.

So I’ll probably start with a little Tilt revision (which is nearly complete anyway) and then have a full run-through of Crash. That might be all the morning can hold. This afternoon? Well there’s the lure of live sport on the television – the temptress that always sits on my shoulders at the weekend…
